Dr. Bob met Bill W. May 12, 1935 and had his last drink June 10, from which dates the founding of AA. He died November 16, 1950 at Akron City hospital, where he worked as a surgeon and helped many alcoholics get sober. In this, his last major talk before he passed away, Dr. Bob recounts various aspects of early AA history from a personal and spiritual point of view (45:53).
